The CM 1241 provides point-to-point serial communication for the S7-1200 in RS232, RS422 and RS485 variants. It is the standard route for integrating legacy instruments, weighing indicators, barcode readers, printers and Modbus RTU devices that predate Ethernet fieldbus. VeeTech supplies the module and implements the protocol handling, telegram parsing and commissioning of the connected devices.
